The IELTS test measures the examinee's communicative abilities: writing, reading, speaking and listening. The section is divided into three tasks.
- Underestimating yourself
Lack of confidence can affect your performance in the IELTS test. The more you tell yourself that you cannot accomplish your score goal, the more likely that you will feel down. Instead of focusing on the exam, you tend to deal with your confidence level. This practice hampers your creativity. For instance, instead of comparing the results of your mock exam with your classmates, try looking on the exam components where you lagged behind and see what went wrong and how you can improve them.
- Staying contented
There are various approaches to each problem. It is important that you keep your options open and that you stay curious. Look for better ways to tackle an issue and assess which among your options will be the best choice. The key to staying creative is not settling for mediocrity.
- Sticking to the status quo
Do not just accept concepts as they are presented. Challenge established ideas and continue to ask. Curiosity fuels innovation and imagination. This is an important aspect especially in presenting your ideas.
A lot of factors can hinder your flow of creativity. Avoid the bad habits mentioned above and elevate your chances of acquiring your IELTS score goal.
